Hill is a singer songwriter and the driving force behind TraumaCheez. Growing up in southern China, Hill's early musical love was sparked by Hong Kong singer Faye Wong, known for blending styles like Indie Rock (think The Cranberries, Cocteau Twins) with Cantonese Pop. As a teenager, Hill was captivated by Hong Kong guitarist and songwriter Ellen Loo. Ellen's skill and style made a huge impression, inspiring Hill to pick up the guitar herself.

Like many '90s kids in East Asia, Hill spent eight years studying classical piano before putting it aside to focus on academics. But her passion for music never faded. After moving to the US for grad school, Hill kept her creative side alive with sound design projects for video games. She also explored more Western music, falling for bands like Paramore, Radiohead, and Wolf Alice.

When the pandemic hit in 2020, Hill finally had the time to dive back into music. She learned guitar, formed her first band DogDays, and started honing her vocal and stage skills at open mics and jams. This led to her solo project, TraumaCheez.

Hill's musical journey is still unfolding. Who knows, maybe soon she'll be putting up a full album!
